By Mike Hammer (alias the peasant)

Health insurance is’nt a problem. Just because my family plan cost $1,400 a month plus a $2,500 deductible and co-payments does not mean I have a problem. After all my employerpays for 25% of it. No,it is not the health insurance system that is the problem, I’m the problem. After all, if I did’nt get injured or sick health insurance companies would’nt have to charge me so much. If you got a problem with health insurance costs I suggest you look in the mirror to see the real cause of the problem.

See buddy, it is not about you and it never was. Insurance companies are in the business of insuring things or people that have a small risk of actually needing to file a claim. When assessing whether to offer a policy to an individual they first need to do a risk assesment (better known as a background check). If you have a past or on going medical condition, then what is the point of offering coverage to you since money can’t be made off of you.

Know this, giant money making enterprises cannot be interfered with. The cash they generate  produces real value and tangible assets. A sick slob like you isn’t worth the cost of a postage stamp. Do you really believe any health reform bill passed by congress will sacrifice one dime of profit to ease the sufferring of a miserable peasant like you.

No, you will do what you always do. You will do what your told. Your being told that socialized  medicine will turn us into a commie Canadian like state. And you know how bad things are in Canada.

I seriously doubt there is one Canadian who would switch their health care plan for my $1,400 a month plan How stupid would that be.

Our job in the final outcome of this historic attempt to fix health care is to pay up and shut up. Like I said, it is not about us anyway.

He won’t be in this Sunday’s Super Bowl and his Denver Broncos are already 50-to-1 longshots for next year’s National Football League title, but if Tim Tebow swapped the pigskin for politics, he just might be a shoo-in for the White House.
