Obama Health Insurance Socialized Medicine Republicans and Nazism

Tuesday, October 6, 2009
By Mike Hammer (alias the peasant)

President Obama wanted to have a serious national debate on skyrocketing health insurance premiums, and to construct some solutions to solve the crisis. The Republicans, in a bipartisan gesture to give their input, began comparing the Democrats to Nazis, and suggested that any government program created as part of the solution will lead to an eventual “…government-directed holocaust and mass murder…”

Who knew? Who wouldda thunk it? Well Joseph Farah of WorldNet Daily would. See “Nazism and Socialized Medicine” Posted: October 05, 2009 http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=111973.

Listen up:

“Am I suggesting that socialized medicine of the kind being promoted in America today leads inevitably to holocaust and mass murder?

No.

But I am saying it is a necessary prerequisite for government-directed holocaust and mass murder to occur.”

“This does not mean Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are little Hitlers in the making. I am not calling them Nazis, …  I am saying their statist work in the area of so-called “health-care reform” can make it possible for some future American version of Hitler to carry out his most diabolical plans.”

Joe, you say you’re not calling them Nazis, you just use the term along with Hitler in the same sentence. Why bother to lump them all together if you didn’t mean to imply that, why bother to write the article if you didn’t mean to make that comparison.

But there is more:

“In America, unlike anywhere else in the world, our Constitution strictly limits the role of government in our lives because our founders understood the inherent and inevitable threat to life, liberty and prosperity posed by the state. “

The founders may have been concerned by the threat posed by the state, but they would have been horrified by citizens being forced to buy health insurance from corporate monopolies. This is a far more insidious threat.

I try to expose and call attention to the factions that enabled the economic disaster we are now living through. I want them exposed because they are responsible for my partial ruination. Right wing extremists and their hate speech, along with their disdain for Americans who are temporarily traumatized and brought to their knees by this crisis, need to be held accountable not only for the part they played in the crisis itself, but also for obstructing the necessary actions being attempted to deal with it.

It is never clear what these extremists envision for our society. They can’t come out and say it bigotry, racism, hate, religious intolerance, lack of compassion, a returning to the past, and an inability to adapt to change.

The world progresses but some people can’t keep up. All the squealing we’re hearing now can be attributed to those being left behind.

  • Hottest Christian book in the land gets hotter
The politicians who quoted Isaiah 9:10 after the 9/11 terror attacks probably meant it as encouragement. But the new book “The Harbinger: The Ancient Mystery That Holds the Secret of America’s Future” explains that the verse actually is a statement of defiance to God — a nation essentially thumbing its nose at the Almighty. And people […]
