Members of the Binladen family were also not only big investors in the Carlyle Group, but at least one brother Shafiq bin Laden sat on the Board of Directors. That’s why he was present at the big board meeting of the Carlyle Group at a big hotel on September 11, 2001.
Who else is on the board?
George Soros.
Mack McLarty, Carlyle Group Senior Advisor (from 2003), White House Chief of Staff to President Bill Clinton from 1993 to 1994.
Frank Carlucci, former CIA director.
George Bush Sr., former CIA director.
Oh lookee, James A. Baker III as well (see above).
The firm has employed political figures and notable investors. Some of these figures include former US President George H. W. Bush, former British Prime Minister John Major and former US Secretary of State James A. Baker III along with George Soros.
In his documentary The World According to Bush (May 2004), William Karel interviewed Frank Carlucci to discuss the presence of Shafiq bin Laden, Osama bin Laden’s *estranged brother, at Carlyle’s annual investor conference while the September 11 attacks were occurring
* other websites reported that it was unlikely that Osama Bin Laden was seriously “estranged” from his family, seeing as he appeared in wedding photos after the alleged “estrangement”.
We COULD check the records. Oops, no we can’t. James A. Baker III blocked access to Americans.
]]>Another blithering idiot. See previous comments.
Numerous photos exist of Bush KISSING ON THE MOUTH the King of Saudi Arabia, and walking holding hands at his fake ranch in Crawford. This after we were told that 15 terrorists from Saudi Arabia allegedly flew airplanes into several buildings, crappy amateur pilots who successfully evaded the $12 Trillion Cold War security architecture of NORAD and FAA and the entire US Air Force, to strike terror in America. This was the “catalyzing event” that several Neocons previously described as absolutely necessary and “lucky” — literally — they were “hoping” for just such an attack, while some were working as Pentagon advisors.
But that’s just cultural courtesy for Bush to be kissing King Abdullah. That’s how they do it with close friends. (I could not tell from the photo if there was any tongueing or crotch-grabbing.)
The real crime of that whole thing is NOT the smooching.
The real crime of that whole thing is that when AMERICANS, ordinary American citizens whose relatives died in NY on 9-11, filed a lawsuit against the government of Saudi Arabia for possible involvement in financing terror, the case was shut down and dismissed by a judge, as the defense requested.
It was NOT dismissed on FACTS. It was not dismissed “with prejudice”. No, it was dismissed on “diplomatic immunity”, in other words, on a personal FAVOR to the Saudi monarchs and their large extended family, which permanently immunized them from being sued by Americans — more importantly, it immunized them from legal demands for DISCOVERY, that is for DOCUMENTS and PAPER TRAILS.
Of course the big extended BinLaden family is like cousins of the big extended Saud family, and Binladen construction is a major builder in SA, not only for joint Saudi-US-Western oil companies, but they also get contracts from the US military to build bases. Binladen is like the “Halliburton” of Saudi Arabia.
(Saudi Arabia as a “nation-state” was itself created out of “Arabia” territory in the 1900s, by guess who? By precursors of the CIA from Wall Street, esp Allen Dulles, who financed and armed the most extremist Wahabbi gang, King Ibn Saud. They immediately set up the joint venture Aramco, the Arab-American oil company, which was aligned with both Wall Street and Hitler.)
And who was this defense attorney for the Saudis and Binladens? CNN and MSNBC reported very very very quietly online, that the law firm was “the prestigious Houston-based Baker-Botts Law firm”. Prestigious? How presitious? Houston-based? Got a clue yet?
OK, here’s the answer to the riddle. The lawyer was so prestigious he argued before the Supreme Court to end the vote counting in Florida and apppoint Bush as President in 2000, and won approval from the majority of the “Justices”, who claimed it was a one-off decision, never to set a precedent. The lawyer was so prestigious he was a former Secretary of State. He has been the family and business attorney for the Bush’s going back to the 50s, and helped set up Zapata Petroleum and Zapata Offshore, which was 40 miles off the coast of Cuba (dig, a CIA front). (All records in the National Archives were destroyed by Bush Jr. “to free up space”.)
Yes the Guardian Angel to the Saudis and Binladen is James A. Baker III. Angry yet? Does anyone wonder why we can’t seem to find Osama anywhere?
]]>I don’t think Obama serving the super rich is good for America. I think these things border on Treason: TARP, created by Bush and extended by Obama, appointing former NY Fed chief Geithner who oversaw the looting during the Bush era and Greenspan to be head of the US Treasury, appointing some 20 reps from Goldman-Sachs and former Clintonites like Rubin and Summers who looted Russia of it’s wealth and forced ordinary Russians into literal starvation, to now run America’s economic policies, and much more like that.
However, all that was ostensibly LEGAL. The President can appoint who he wants. And few people on the Right are sane enough to care about that anyhow. They are more worried about someone getting food stamps, at least if they are non-white and on food stamps.
Congress approved TARP, albeit with a lot of arm-twisting by Obama and threats by Bush of imposing Martial Law and threats of complete economic breakdown — even though they didn’t even tap into the first raft of government handouts for months.
Yes, the bankers gave themselves massive bonuses, Hank Paulson bailed out AIG so they could hand the money to Hank Paulson’s old company Goldman, but Congress and Geithner left the terms open, so AIG chiefs and Goldman execs were legally permitted to write themselves massive bonuses on their “profits”.
Sure, Goldman drove up housing costs and they and Wall Street jacked up energy costs by speculating on Oil and Gas Futures Contracts, but they did so legally. The CFTC didn’t stop other companies from relocating to London to evade US securities laws. Sure, they lobbied to get rid of Glass-Stegal, and to quash oversight from any government agency charged with oversight. They pushed to loosen banking regulations, so they could create “balloon” mortgages for unqualified borrowers, so they could help real estate flippers “flip” houses and condos and office buildings, so they could borrow money on non-existent collateral, so they could write “insurance” (CDS’s) on investments with no capital base to back the contracts.
But all that was LEGAL, and it happened under Clinton, Bush, and Obama. Some of it even went back to Reagan and possibly further. Heck, FHMA (Fannie Mae) was created by FDR for what purpose? To “repurchase” dead mortgages and “inject money” into the banks so commerce could start over. It was not until the 70′s that Nixon privatized Fannie Mae and created Freddie Mac, so he could go on financing the Vietnam War.
NO ONE I’ve ever heard or seen on the Right has ever accurately described Obama’s actual crimes that would constitute “treason”. Just vague generalities and innuendos. I guess that’s good enough, huh?
I can do a better job of outlining Obama’s crimes — and I even sort of approved of Obama’s election, just on the basis that he’s not Bush, most of his cabinet did not *in writing* pre-plan for 9-11 and state that a major terrorist attack on America was necessary and mandatory for their plans, and because it was good to have a black President, even if he’s just a shill for the rich.
Actually, because I’m sick of living in an Oligarchy that grows more naked and greedy every day, I proudly voted for the Socialist Workers Party at WSWS.com, which is genuinely Marxist. The Right, as usual, thinks Obama is Marxist and they are utter idiots. No, they are actively propagandized and fooled by the media, and by their own ignorance. The game is complicated, at least as complicated as Football, and few on any side of the political spectrum, but especially on the Right, have a clue about the game, the rules, the players, or the history.
Clue One: It’s about MONEY first and foremost.
Clue Two: The figurehead leaders are NOT who holds the power. They serve. They serve the people with the money.
I did not vote for Obama by the way. However, there is one glaring difference here. Obama’s only relation to Hitler is through Brzezinski and the Rockefeller family, through the CFR (every candidate in both parties was a CFR member except for I think Kucinich, Gravel, and Ron Paul). Rockefeller and Standard Oil backed Hitler with money, oil, and technology to turn coal into gasoline to fuel planes. Standard got around US bans on subsidizing Nazis by using his South American branches. The CEO was called up *literally* on treason charges, by the Senate and by Harry S. Truman. Standard was one of many companies that traded with the Third Reich.
The American Christian Right was also avidly pro-Hitler, the Angel, the Man of God, who would defend the world from Socialism and from Jews. Wall Street’s support was quiet, covert, and direct.
Bush on the other hand, his Grandfather Prescott was part of the New York-based cabal that financed Hitler. Prescott worked for Harriman, and indirectly for Rockefeller. So the Bush-Hitler connection has blood ties.
Obama’s connection to Hitler is only that he worked for the CIA in the 80s, ran covert operations in Pakistan with his mother the “anthropologist” during the Afghan War (when Carter, Reagan, Bush, Brzezinski, and the Christian Right supported the Taliban), and found himself a favorite of Wall Street bond traders and the Trilateral Commission and CFR big shots.
Marxist? That’s a joke. Worse than a joke, it’s intentional diversion. We could use a little more actual Marxism in this country. The working man needs a break, just as the working class did in England and all of Europe and Russia when Marx and Engels were writing.
Instead we have an Oligarchy, rule by the Rich, by the wealthy capitalists who rely, as ALWAYS, on government subsidies and protectionism, on patents and special rights and corporate law, to protect their riches from economic democracy, while the small entrepreneurs and workers get the shaft.
Yes, it’s sort of like a dictatorship, by committee, but Marxist it’s far from that.
]]>BTW, where is Oba-Mao’s birth certificate?
]]>1. Treason is the hardest federal crime for a prosecution to prove. The Rosenbergs, Aldrich Ames, and others were convicted of espionage, not treason, because of the very high burden of proof required for conviction on that charge.
2. Congress did not abolish the death penalty for federal crimes. There are any number of persons on federal death row awaiting execution.
3. Marks should stick to passing out APCs, if qualified to do so.
