Pastor John Hagee Spews Republican Lies Runs a Cult Not A Church Worker Wage Inequality

JHagee01The most reverend John Hagee is a political beast. He passes off politics as religion. I heard him mention on his television program how 50% of the people who work are paying for the 50% who don’t. This is a false right wing Republican slogan that should never be repeated on the pulpit. But what of it?

The top 50% of wage earners pay 96% of taxes. So what does this tell us? That one half of the population is subsidizing the bottom half of the population through higher taxes? That half the people work and the other half doesn’t because they can get entitlement money funded by the top 50% of taxpayers?  That the top 50% will stop working because they don’t want to pay for the 50% that doesn’t?

You would believe this nonsense if you listened to reverend Hagee. Yep, 50% of taxpayers pay 96% of the taxes, but that doesn’t mean the bottom 50% isn’t working. Their wages are so pathetically low, and their employer’s have such little regard for human life, that they don’t get paid enough to pay measurable taxes.

The largest private employer in the country is Walmart. None of the top 50% of wage earners work there. That would mean all Walmart workers are working for wages that place them close to the poverty line. They still work and get paid, they just don’t pay much in taxes. So what does Reverend Hagee have against these Americans?

Reverend Hagee is spewing the same old right wing lie that says 50% of the people work, and the other 50% are leeches. The top 50% earn 86% of the income. This is what you call wealth inequality. The top 1% of the mega rich got to be that way by paying poverty level wages to their employees. This is immoral. This is unacceptable.

Reverend Hagee needs to speak out and condemn this scandal not endorse it. Where does Hagee get his information? More importantly, why is he using the pulpit as a sounding board for extremist Republican talking points?

The fact that half the population makes Walmart wages doesn’t dehumanize them. Why is Hagee talking economics when his expertise is theology? Is Hagee a Reverend or a Republican political operative? Hagee makes tons of money exploiting his ministry by selling books and DVD’s.  I’m guessing he’s financially well off. What does he have against the rest of us?

Hagee, your spreading false politically extreme viewpoints that are spurious and not in the least related to bible teaching. You have abused your authority as an ordained minister and as a result, you ministry is more of a cult than part of the church.

You have gone astray fat man. When teaching the word of god stick to the scriptures and leave your political ideology for the voting booth.
